Because people were created to be relational, a significant part of being human is the need to be recognized, included and welcomed. We can see this in the life of Zaccheus, an outsider in the Jewish culture, as he presses forward in the crowd to see and hear Jesus. Jesus not only showed interest in this outsider who was seeking to know him, He invited Zacchaeus into a relationship with Himself. How can we be like Jesus and welcome outsiders in?
