Satan is not just a liar. Lying is his very nature, and Jesus makes that unmistakably clear in John 8. The enemy uses three consistent tactics to pull people away from God: isolation, twisting the truth, and temptation. A lie wrapped in a little truth is far more convincing than a pure fabrication, and that is exactly how the enemy works. Jesus modeled how to respond to deception and false accusation with clarity, self-control, and by redirecting all glory back to the Father. His declaration that He existed before Abraham was a direct claim to be God, the fulfillment of a promise made thousands of years earlier. The closer we stay to Jesus and His Word, the harder it becomes for the enemy's lies to take root in our lives.
