The Story of Two Prodigals

The parable of the prodigal son reveals two prodigals, not just one. The younger son was prodigal in his sin - demanding his inheritance early, leaving home, and squandering everything in reckless living. But the father was equally prodigal in his love, forgiveness, and restoration. When the son came to his senses and returned home, taking full responsibility for his choices, the father responded with extravagant grace - the best robe, ring, sandals, and a celebration. This story illustrates that no matter how reckless our sin, God's love and forgiveness is far more extravagant than we could ever sin.
