What Have You Done?

Genesis 44 presents a pivotal moment when Joseph tests his brothers by planting his silver cup in Benjamin's sack, creating a scenario parallel to their earlier betrayal of Joseph. When confronted, Judah breaks the pattern of denial seen throughout Genesis by acknowledging their guilt before God. Instead of making excuses, Judah offers himself as a substitute for Benjamin—foreshadowing Christ's ultimate sacrifice. This breakthrough reveals a profound spiritual truth: acknowledging our sin, rather than hiding it, opens the door to reconciliation, mercy, and freedom from destructive patterns. When we uncover our sin, we position ourselves to experience God's redemptive grace.
