James was born and raised in Minersville, PA. He moved to the area after graduating from Penn College of Technology. He met his wife Julie at the Hershey Free Church where they were part of the same worship team. He and his wife have five children. They live in the Hershey/Hummelstown area. He is a Sr. Process Engineer for a local computer component manufacturer. In his free time, he enjoys music, playing his guitar, hunting, fishing, going to the hunting camp, football, and times with the family.
James comes to us after 20+ years of worship ministry at the Hershey Free Church. James has always had a love and gift for music. He plays guitar and sings. He received his Bachelors degree in Bible/Ministry from Lancaster Bible College in 2010. He has a deep desire to use his God given gifts and worship ministry experience to lead the “church” in worshiping the one true God in spirit and in truth.
James views the following passage as an all encompassing outlook on life; "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Reilly grew up in Stoney Creek Valley of Dauphin, PA. He currently lives in Palmyra, PA with his wife, Larissa. Reilly and Larissa met in 2017 at Mt. Lou San Summer Camp in Harrisburg while he was in a gap-year program. His passion for worship combined with her love of service created a special way to minister and love. Reilly and Larissa have a corgi named Toby and a cat named Moe; and no, they don’t get along lol.
Reilly has been leading worship at various churches and events for about 10 years. He started a worship band with some of his friends in highschool at their church and has ever since been developing his leadership abilities. Worship through music has been one of the most intimate ways Reilly has encountered the Holy Spirit. He continues to strive for authenticity in leadership and his relationships.
Reilly envisions a church family where “presence” is greater than “performance”; in which the presence of Jesus is so overwhelming and intimate, that it doesn’t matter who is on stage. One of Reilly’s fundamental passages in the Bible is Romans 7-8. He loves how it perfectly depicts the rawness of humanity while also reminding us of the refreshing truth that “...there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” He encourages you to dive into this passage and listen to God’s voice.

Laura has been serving at Hope since the fall of 2017. She was raised in McKean and then Centre County, Pa. While attending Penn State University in 1989, she met her husband Sandy when he was home on leave from the Navy. They married in 1990 and moved to San Diego where he was stationed. After three years, they returned to PA, but ended up in North Carolina for work where they home schooled and raised six children. Their family was very involved in church ministry in Youngsville for 15 years. In 2012, they moved back to Pennsylvania for Sandy's job and settled in Harrisburg to be part of a church plant.
Because she realizes everything in this world belongs to God and since He values relationships with people above all else, Laura's favorite verse comes from Job 1:21, "And he said, 'Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD." This verse reminds her that the souls of people are the only thing that will last eternally and makes the mandate of Jesus clear; it is our job to make Him known to all that they might be saved. This is the most important mission we have while on earth.
Laura, Sandy and their youngest adult child, along with Laura's mother, live in Harrisburg. Laura values her morning secret place times the most, her Gbaby Fridays, leads in home Bible studies, loves catching up with friends over coffee, crafting and working on home projects.

Dan grew up in Schuylkill County and Northumberland County, PA. At the age of 15, he had a powerful encounter with the Lord and surrendered his life to Jesus. Over the next four years God orchestrated a series of events that strengthened and confirmed a call in his heart for evangelism and missions.
Dan graduated from Penn State University in 1984 with a Computer Science degree and lived in Ephrata, PA for a couple of years. In 1986 he moved to Newburgh, NY to be part of an Evangelism Training school where he met his soon-to-be-wife, Kathy. After completing the program, they moved to New Brunswick, NJ with a church planting team and got married in November 1987. Over the next 30 years they helped start and grow several churches and worked with various ministries in NJ. Dan also owns and operates a web design/development business that he started in 1998.
In 2017 they moved to Mount Joy, PA and became part of Hope Community Church. Dan and Kathy have two sons and a daughter, who are each married. They currently have two grandchildren. Dan enjoys exercising, watching Penn State football, and working with model trains, but mostly loves spending time with family and friends. They often host gatherings and neighborhood events that point to the goodness of the Lord.
One of Dan’s favorite verses is 2 Corinthians 1:3-5, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.” He loves sharing the comfort, hope and peace that God has shown him through many of life’s difficulties with others who are experiencing similar troubles. Dan has a passion for sharing the love of Jesus with others and caring for those in need.

Alice joined the staff of Hope in October 2015. She graduated from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. She also has her own Accounting/Tax CPA Business serving over 120 clients and pond business where she designs/maintains ponds and sells pond plants. She is also a long term member and treasurer of the Rohrerstown Community Band. Alice is married to Mike and they have three children: Emilee, Luke and Sarah. In addition to her duties as part of the staff, Alice also volunteers in HOPE's nursery.
Alice's favorite verse is Joshua 24:15 'But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”'
