Dan grew up in Schuylkill County and Northumberland County, PA. At the age of 15, he had a powerful encounter with the Lord and surrendered his life to Jesus. Over the next four years God orchestrated a series of events that strengthened and confirmed a call in his heart for evangelism and missions.
Dan graduated from Penn State University in 1984 with a Computer Science degree and lived in Ephrata, PA for a couple of years. In 1986 he moved to Newburgh, NY to be part of an Evangelism Training school where he met his soon-to-be-wife, Kathy. After completing the program, they moved to New Brunswick, NJ with a church planting team and got married in November 1987. Over the next 30 years they helped start and grow several churches and worked with various ministries in NJ. Dan also owns and operates a web design/development business that he started in 1998.
In 2017 they moved to Mount Joy, PA and became part of Hope Community Church. Dan and Kathy have two sons and a daughter, who are each married. They currently have two grandchildren. Dan enjoys exercising, watching Penn State football, and working with model trains, but mostly loves spending time with family and friends. They often host gatherings and neighborhood events that point to the goodness of the Lord.
One of Dan’s favorite verses is 2 Corinthians 1:3-5, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.” He loves sharing the comfort, hope and peace that God has shown him through many of life’s difficulties with others who are experiencing similar troubles. Dan has a passion for sharing the love of Jesus with others and caring for those in need.
